ImmuniWeb Launches Internet Security Statistics Center

Historical data of almost 350 million security scans of Internet-accessible assets is now openly available for academic and industry research within the ImmuniWeb® Community Edition.

2024 has been truly remarkable for our freely available ImmuniWeb® Community Edition for several galvanizing reasons. First, the total number of scans is about to hit the new record of 350,000,000 scans across all seven online tests. Second, data from the Community Edition will now be used for the next editions of the globally recognized Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) published by Verizon, while duly preserving privacy of all users and all non-public data of their scans. Finally, to enable colleges and universities, governmental agencies, global cybersecurity community and even individual researchers to access historical data on security of Internet-accessible resources, the following dynamic statistics are now publicly available:

• Global SSL Security Statistics historical data and customizable reports about SSL/TLS encryption, vulnerabilities and weaknesses in web applications, APIs, email servers and network appliances.
• Global Email Security Statistics historical data and customizable reports about most frequent email misconfigurations that facilitate spam, phishing and business email compromises (BEC) attacks.
• Global Website Privacy Statistics historical data and customizable reports about trackers and other privacy invasive technologies used on websites to spy over users sometimes in violation of law.
• Global Website Security Statistics historical data and customizable reports about website vulnerabilities and weaknesses, outdated software and web server misconfigurations leading to data breaches.
• Global Mobile App Security Statistics historical data and customizable reports about most common iOS and Android vulnerabilities in modern mobile apps that facilitate data or mobile device compromise.
• Global Dark Web Exposure & Phishing Detection Statistics historical data and customizable reports about cyber-attacks and malicious activities on the Dark Web, as well as tracking of phishing campaigns.
• Global Cloud Security Statistics historical data and customizable reports about misconfigured or exposed cloud storage at most popular public cloud service providers (CSP) around the globe.

Each of the statistics above is freely available both in real time and in historical view, accessible either via interactive dashboard or downloadable in a PDF. Each statistics has a direct link for convenience of citations in research and other publications.
